Mindfulness

Mindfulness is …

To be present in the moment is to be ready for what life has to offer you. Mindfulness is the state of being conscious of your surroundings. It is being aware of where, what, why, and how you are doing the task you are that matters. It is not overreacting or feeling overwhelmed by external factors. Mindfulness is an internal equilibrium one has with theirselves to allow complete harmony within their mind, body, and spirit. Wake up the inner workings of your cognitive, emotional, and physical abilities.

 How to Practice Mindfulness:

You can practice mindfulness in a multitude of ways. Meditating/yoga is the most common form of being mindful, but you can practice it while doing dishes, homework assignments, walking in nature, along with doing any active activities. Anytime you can be present with yourself and where you are, you are practicing being mindful.

Though we all possess the ability to be mindful, it is up to ourselves to act on it. Settle your mind and bring yourself to a conscious present moment to hear yourself speak. By being mindful, you significantly open the possibilities for yourself.

Benefits of Mindfulness:

When you open yourself up to who you are, rather than who you are trying to be, the gates to your future is wide open. When being in a state of the present, you are able to appreciate all that is around you - including yourself! You start to see situations and people in a different light than you previously have.

It is important to challenge your viewpoints to fully understand the world around you. Calling upon your inner self is connecting yourself to your high being and in return, your higher purpose. Work in alignment with the creators’ envisions of your divine purpose of who you are and what you live for.

Mindfulness will help you understand yourself and find the reasons for why you move in the rhythm you do. Channeling your energy and focusing it internally creates a bond in which you will get visions and messages about what it is you should be doing. It is important to remember that nothing is set in stone and it takes two to tango. Although you are being mindful and are receiving these messages, it is up to you to act on these possibilities.

Stress affects your body in a negative and low vibrational state. Creating all sorts of problems for your mind, body, and spirit and in following that it affects your external life just the same. To combat it, the inner work mindfulness invokes, greatly reduces stress, depression, and anxiety. Creating a still mind allows you to focus solely on what is in front of you; putting out of mind all external forces. By relieving stress, lowering your blood pressure treats heart disease, chronic pain improves sleep, and much more! Stress takes a huge toll out on anybody in many ways. This is one way to rise above it and sore to your greatest heights.

Stay present and let yourself be the best it can!
